This position is located at Department of Housing and Urban Development Office of Inspector General, OIG, Office of Audit. As a Program Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of sensitive complex assignments and projects, as well as providing continuing leadership and influence on program and managerial decisions in all aspects of administrative services, procedures, and practices for Headquarters and within the Office of Audit

Duties

The following are the duties of this position at the GS-14. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized experience for the GS-13 is defined as one year of experience at the GS-12 level, or equivalent, which is directly related to the position, and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position includes ALL of the following: -Experience assisting in the administration of training and employee development program, including needs assessments, program evaluation, and implementation of tailored training solutions. Assisting on or managing teams responsible for delivering training to external parties, grantees and subrecipients; AND -Experience collaborating with senior leaders, subject matter experts, and internal/external stakeholders to develop training strategies, and facilitate leadership development; AND -Experience influencing, motivating, and negotiating with individuals or groups to resolve conflicts and drive program objectives; AND -Experience delivering technical reports to varied audiences Time-in-Grade :In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
