You will serve as a INOVATION MANAGER in the Corporate Operations Directorate of SUPERVISOR OF SHIPBUILDING BATH. You will lead SUPSHIP Bath's process improvement program.
Duties
You will build strong, collaborative partnerships with government team members and shipbuilder suppliers to identify process improvements, assess process improvement implementation value to Navy shipbuilding and drive selected projects to completion.
You will incorporate continuous process improvement methodologies in assessing process improvement ideas and implementing process improvement projects.
You will analyze implemented processes and systems performance.
You will engage the workforce to foster process improvement idea sharing through personal outreach and the Command's communication network.
You will manage SUPSHIP Bath's innovation program via iNation, IDEAstream, iNFUSION, and other tools.
You will demonstrate experience in the shipbuilding production environment and/or contracting processes.
You will be a good communicator and someone who enjoys collaborating with others to improve work processes.
You will adept at problem solving and thinking innovatively to achieve results.
You will work with leadership to implement process improvements that support Command and directorate-level goals tied to the SUPSHIP Bath strategic plan.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: evaluating organizational practices and programs to identify inefficiencies and make process improvement recommendations for a shipbuilding program.
