You will serve as an EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT in the Executive Directors Office of SUPERVISOR OF SHIPBUILDING BATH.

Duties

You will coordinate all day-today-day operations of the office, sets priorities for scheduling and other matters concerning the organization and advises the Executive Director on matters requiring his/her attention. You will exercise exclusive control overall staff actions under the direction of the Executive Director, and correspondence including the receipt, control, and forwarding of actions originating from a variety of sources. You will oversea and ensure the appropriate implementation of administrative and operational programs for organization's front office. You will provide support for scheduled high-level meetings including the development of meeting logistics, meeting announcements, meeting agendas, briefing materials, read-heads, minutes, and meeting due-out assignments and taskings. You will serve as Executive Director office authority on matters relating to administrative management procedures to including staffing briefings, and ensuring that all required data is included in package prior to forwarding for action. You will develop complex products including briefing materials, spreadsheets, workbooks, ad hoc databases, and other documents necessary for performing and over seeing assigned products and projects. You will provide advice or guidance to senior level mangers and other staff experts concerning unusual or critical problems that often impact the work of other significant programs. You will manage budget plans, forecasting, and resource allocation during the conduct of assigned programs analyses. You will independently perform or lead various program evaluation studies, surveys, research projects, or reviews, and develop new methods or approaches necessary to measure and achieve program accomplishments and results. You will develops, analyze, and evaluate new or modified program management policies, regulations, goals, and objectives to develop procedures and systems for assessing the effectiveness of programs/management processes.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least three years of general experience that includes one year to the next lower pay band, NH-01 (or GS-04 equivalency) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing administrative tasks for an organization. (e.g,. familiar with Navy Command structure, military protocol and courtesies, Microsoft Office and DoD provided software, Executive level calendar scheduling and management, Navy Correspondence Management, Standard Subject Identification Code use, serialization and control and retention of correspondence, Scheduling, coordinating and hosting official command events that include; Elected Government Officials, Flag Officers, Foreign Dignitaries, and other high ranking officials.) Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a Bachelor's Degree;
OR
Successful completion of 4 years of progressively higher level education leading to a Bachelor's Degree;
OR
A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
