As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.Serves as a managing attorney within the Office of the Chief Counsel, Acquisition & Fiscal Law Division (AGC-500).

Duties

Responsible for an extensive and diverse array of acquisition, real estate, and fiscal matters that are of critical importance to the agency's mission.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents).
  • Designated or Random Drug Testing required.
  • This position has a positive education requirement. Transcript(s) required.
  • Requirement for Managerial Probationary Period: Unless previously completed, selectee must satisfactorily complete a 1-year probationary period to remain in this managerial position.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, ALL applicants MUST meet the following criteria:(1) have a JD Degree from an accredited law school; and(2) be admitted to practice before the bar of any U.S. jurisdiction or within the District of Columbia and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico; and(3) be an active member of that bar; and(4) at least one full year of specialized experience in the work performed at the next lower grade level (FV-J/K or GS-14/15) for this occupational series. The specialized experience for this position is defined as:Experience directing and executing plans, programs, policies, or projects in a professional or legal environment; andExperience providing legal advice and assistance on a full range of fiscal law matters (i.e., use of appropriated funds, the Anti-Deficiency Act, appropriations, continuing resolutions, reauthorizations, or lapses in funding or authority).Answer all questions to the best of your ability.
