As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.Serves as a managing attorney within the Regulations Division (AGC-200), responsible for overseeing an extensive and diverse array of regulations matters.

Duties

Conducts supervisory-level legal review of notices of proposed rulemaking, final rules, agency guidance, policy statements, reports to Congress, technical assistance on draft legislation, and legal interpretations of agency regulations.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents).
  • Designated or Random Drug Testing required.
  • This position has a positive education requirement. Transcript(s) required.
  • Requirement for Managerial Probationary Period: Unless previously completed, selectee must satisfactorily complete a 1-year probationary period to remain in this managerial position.

Qualifications

Applicant's must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year (52 weeks) of SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE equivalent to the FV-J/K or GS-14/15 level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.The specialized experience for this position is defined as:Experience providing legal counsel and advice on administrative law matters; andExperience mentoring and training entry-level to mid-level attorneys; providing leadership and authoritative legal expertise in the review of policy documents, plans, programs, policies, or projects; and providing advice and counsel to executives, senior managers, or senior policymakers in a legal or professional environment.You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history.
