Duties
Typical work assignments include:
Develops and implements regional engagement strategies that prioritize engagement efforts with the goal of reducing and mitigating risks specific to the region.
Provides analysis and advice to senior management on the effectiveness of engagements; and the productivity and efficiency of assigned Regional Office Outreach programs, products, and services to internal and external stakeholders.
Supports the supervisor in developing a Regional Strategic Plan and assists with other strategic and operational planning responsibilities for the region, including the headquarters requirements process.
Qualifications
To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required experience for the respective grade level in which you are applying.
You qualify for the GS-12 grade level, if you have:
EXPERIENCE: At least one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-11 grade level (or equivalent) performing the following duties:
Assisting with the development of policies and procedures, and recommending edits; AND
Speaking in public settings and facilitating dialogue with diverse audiences; AND
Tracking data and metrics to monitor outreach efforts and identifying strategic engagement opportunities; AND
Planning, developing, and implementing outreach plans with minimal supervision; AND
Establishing and maintaining effective collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
You qualify for the GS-13 grade level, if you have:
EXPERIENCE: At least one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level (or equivalent) performing the following duties:
Overseeing the development of policies and procedures, and reviewing and recommending approval upon completion; AND
Gathering and analyzing stakeholder feedback and identifying strategic engagement opportunities; AND
Using analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to conduct studies and outreach programs concerning critical infrastructure protection or related activities; AND
Establishing, maintaining, and growing effective collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders; AND
Assessing program development, or execution, and improving organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
