The Concessions Management Specialist has typical duties that might be performed across a wide range of functions and parks. The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of assignments at an advanced developmental level designed to increase the skill and knowledge required to perform analytical and operational work in support of the Commercial Services Program.

Duties

MAJOR DUTIES MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: Calculates rent deductions for housing needs and requirements for permanent and temporary staff, processes quarters management for contractual rental rates and agreements. Reviews, selects, monitors and maintains commercial use authorizations and special use agreements, interprets, educates and informs the public of permit requirements. Evaluates, maintains and selects concessionaire bids, grades concession programs, assess special request and ensures operations are in accordance with contractual language. LESS THAN FPL: Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level. Promotion to the full performance level is neither guaranteed nor implied and will be based solely on your ability to satisfactorily perform the work of the position, existing work at the higher grade level, and recommendation by the position's supervisor. Qualifications

All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-10/17/2024-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement. Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. For current Federal employees, if hours worked per week are not included on your resume, you must submit a non-award SF-50 as part of your application to be used to validate your work schedule and determine the amount of specialized experience that you will be granted. An award SF-50 will not be acceptable documentation for which to consider your amount of qualifying experience. For all other applicants who are not current federal employees, your resume must state either "full-time" (or "40 hours a week") or "part-time" with the number of hours worked per week to ensure proper crediting of specialized experience. Failure to adequately provide information needed to determine number of hours worked in each position may result in that time not being credited when evaluating qualifying experience. For periods of time that reflect military service, the DD-214 or Statement of Service is sufficient to meet the full and/or part-time hours requirement as the service dates will be reflected. To qualify for this position at the GS-07 grade level, you must possess at least one of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement: EXPERIENCE: Possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform successfully the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position includes but is not limited to: Reading guidelines and contract language to determine program or contract requirements related to the management and administration of the Commercial Services Programs; performing basic analyses of collected data; providing support for developing documents related to business opportunities, such as, assisting in the development of prospectus documents, requests for proposals, and requests for bids for leases. You must include hour worked per week on resume. -OR- EDUCATION: Have at least one year of graduate level education. My graduate level education demonstrates that I have the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position to be filled. -OR- I have a bachelor's degree in which I achieved superior academic standing based on 1) class standing, 2) grade point average, or 3) membership in a national scholastic honor society. My superior academic achievement was gained in a curriculum that is qualifying for the position to be filled. You must include transcripts. -OR- COMBINATION: Equivalent Combination of Graduate Education and Specialized Experience: I do not have one full year of specialized experience as described above, the one year of graduate study in a field directly related to the work of this position as shown above, or the Superior Academic Achievement, but I have an equivalent combination of such education and experience. For example, I have one-half year of the specialized experience described in A above (50% of the experience requirement), and 14 semester hours or 21 quarter hours of directly-related graduate level college study in an accredited institution (50% of the qualifying education). You must include transcripts. To qualify for this position at the GS-09 grade level, you must possess at least one of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement: EXPERIENCE: Possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform successfully the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience includes performing reviewing financial reports for completeness and compliance with annual financial report instructions; drafting responses to routine inquiries and complaints from the general public; preparing routine reports using established templates; planning, coordinating and implementing simple projects, such as, real estate market studies and site visit evaluations; creating and disseminating written communication to a variety of audiences, and using software programs; such as, word processing, spreadsheet, or database (e.g., Excel, Access, Word, or similar operating systems. You must include hour worked per week on resume. -OR- EDUCATION: Have successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree -OR- two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree -OR- LL.B. or J.D., if related. Graduate education must be directly related to this position and provide the knowledge, skill, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position. You must include transcripts. -OR- COMBINATION: Have a combination of graduate education (more than one year of graduate education, but less than two full years) and experience as described above. To combine education and experience, first take the number of completed graduate coursework in excess of 18 semester hours and divide by 18. Then take the number of months of full-time experience and divide by 12 months. Add the percentages together. The total must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. You must include transcripts. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

To qualify based on education, you must submit a legible copy of transcripts from an accredited institution with your name, school name, credit hours, course level, major(s), and grade-point average or class ranking. Transcripts do not need to be official, but if you are selected for this position and you used your education to qualify, you must provide official transcripts before you begin work.

If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet qualification requirements, you must show that your education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
