Duties

Assists in the disassembly, repair, modification, preventative maintenance, installation, removal and assembly of machinery and equipment. Assistant Management in the repair and testing of the less complex electrical accessories,componentS,SubsyStemSandcontrol equipment directly related to industrial machinery and systems. Asssist Management with painting, mowing, and basic carpenter work. Assures safety requirements, housekeeping and environmental compliance rules are followed and personal protective equipment is properly used. Tracks hazard material (oil, paint, solvents, lubricants) and submits hazard reports on oil and other hazard spills and ensures these spillages are cleaned up properly and timely.

Requirements

• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Must be willing and able to frequently lift and carry items weighing up to 35 pounds.
• Must be able to make repairs where parts worked on are in hard to reach places. Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
• A pre-employment occupational physical is required for this position.
• Appointment subject to favorable suitability determination.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2.
• Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
• Requires periodic drug testing.
• The employee must have and maintain a cunent driver's license while in this job.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma. Ability to communicate in English at a level to assure the duties described can be accomplished in a safe and satisfactory manner. Experience in accomplishing the types of duties described in this job.
