This vacancy is for a Purchasing Agent, GS-1105-11, located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, OFFICE OF LEGAL POLICY and PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT -CG-LPD.
Duties
You will serve as a Purchasing Agent and be responsible for implementing Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) for a variety of complex and specialized requirements for materials, supplies, services, construction, and/or equipment within the United States Coast Guard (USCG). Supports the solicitation, negotiation, award, and administration for a variety of complex and specialized requirements through competitive open-market procedures.
Qualifications
To qualify at the GS-11 grade level, applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09/10 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
Specialized experience must include the following:
Purchases commercial services, supplies, and/or products for an organization; AND
Monitor the performance of the full lifecycle of agreements or contracts; AND
Utilizing office automation systems to prepare solicitations and procurement documents.
Utilizing office automation systems to prepare solicitations and procurement documents; AND
Utilizing cost/price analysis; OR
Negotiates contract modifications or terms.
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
NOTE: Education camnot be substituted for experience at this grade level.
