You will serve as a FIREFIGHTER (PARAMEDIC) in the FIRE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES PROGRAM of NAVAL STA NT RI.
Duties
You will perform Advanced life support duties.
You will perform hazard and risk assessment and conduct complete incident analysis.
You will perform structural firefighting duties for a variety of facilities that may include research and/or large industrial complexes
You will drive and operate firefighting vehicles, such as pumpers, aerial ladder trucks, and Support Equipment.

- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
Qualifications
This position requires the incumbent to possess the following certification: Firefighter I and II, HAZMAT Technician, Driver/Operator-Pumper, Driver/Operator-Aerial, American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), CPR Certification, National Registry EMT-Paramedic.
***These certifications must have been awarded by DoD, IFSAC or ProBoard to meet the requirement. If you do not possess all of the above certifications, you will be rated ineligible.**
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: .1.) Responding to emergency incidents and directing fire suppression, rescue operations, and emergency medical resource (EMS) in immediate mitigation actions; 2.) Leading/managing personnel in the delivery of basic life support and/or advanced life support including supervision of ground ambulance transportation service; 3.) Leading and working as member of a team to accomplish mission objectives; 4.) Making sound tactical decision-making and good judgment; 5.) Providing effective, professional, and outgoing customer service and interaction with the command, the general public and stakeholders; 6.) Delivering accurate, effective, and professional oral and written communications, internal written communications, briefs, procedures, explanatory papers, correspondence, and investigative/fire/EMS reports.
