You will serve as an AIRCRAFT OVERHAUL & REPAIR SUPERVISOR in the MRO F/A-18 Production Department of FLEET READINESS CENTER WEST located at Naval Air Station Lemoore, CA.
Duties
You will provide skilled personnel, processes, tools, facilities, and core technologies to support IPT requirements.
You will work with the Production Manager and work leaders to make determinations as to priorities, deadlines, and task sequencing.
You will plan the use of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and other resources to accomplish work operations planned on a day to day, week to week, or quarter to quarter basis.
You will independently plan the use of resources to meet the requirements of special projects and increases/decreases in schedules as well as setting priorities commensurate with the complexity of the work.
You will coordinate the work of supporting shops to ensure that the outside resources are available and timely.
You will conduct audits, inspections, and investigations to ensure aircraft overhaul repair work meets compliance standards.
You will ensure artisans receive training in proper work methods, use of equipment, and shop practices including certifications and licenses required to perform the work of the artisan's trade.
You will be required to have regular and predictable attendance, which is an essential function of this position.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

1) Leading or supervising artisans to establish priorities and deadlines of scheduled assignments as well as determine task sequencing;
2) Estimating material, equipment, and manpower needs to balance changing workload and personnel requirements;
3) Demonstrating an understanding of aircraft platforms/components and of all aircraft trades; and
4) Working to resolve or prevent problems by determining the cause, finding a solution, and taking corrective action. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.
