About the Position: This position is located at 99th Medical Group at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. Student Loan repayment may be authorized.

Duties

Perform administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, answers emails and correspondence, schedules meetings, manages calendars, and supports visitors. Review documents for correct format, grammar, spelling, punctuation, assembly or related materials, and distribution. Facilitate administrative support tasks, such as assisting guests, organizing meetings, answering phones, or preparing materials or reports. Maintain files and information in accordance with regulatory requirements. Screen calls and visitors to the office referring to subordinate staff members and forwarding only those calls or visitors requiring the command attention.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Tier 3 security investigation or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
  • Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. Advanced certification (e.g., ALS) does not supersede BLS.

To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: ClericalComputer SkillsCustomer Service (Clerical/Technical) Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
