Primary purposed: To serve as a first level supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over non-supervisory and supervisory employees assigned to the 5'" Civil Engineer Squadron (CES), Material Control, Self-Help Store, Self-Help Planning, Vehicle Control, (Cont'd)
Duties
Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Material Control section, ensuring that the section complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
Represents the 5 Civil Engineer Squadron and HQ ACC/Civil Engineering (CE) (as requested) with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
Responsible for overall management of data, records, and processing of data into computer and automated work information management systems (IWIMS) such as: Civil Engineer Material Acquisition System (CEMAS); Civil Engineer Integrated WIMS (CE IWIMS); Environmental Management Information System (EMIS); and other Air Force related supply systems and Microsoft Windows databases and programs.
Serves as the Functional Director and Office of Primary Responsibility (OPR) for the contractor-operated civil engineer supply stores (COCESS) store (in the future may also be referred to as the CE Supply Material Acquisition Retail Trade Self-Help Store (CE SMART/Self Help Store).
Provides liaison between CES and Logistics Readiness Squadron (LRS) transportation activities.

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- "This is a Supervisory Position." A 1 year supervisory probationary period is required if applicant selected has not previously met this requirement.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Clerical and Administrative Support Positions, Supply Clerical and Technician Series 2005.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE FOR CURRENT/PREVIOUS FEDERAL APPLICANTS: Current Federal Employees must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-07 grade level. Specialized experience must include knowledge of Air Force Civil Engineer and Base Supply programs, policies, and regulations. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures. Knowledge of Civil Engineer and Base Supply computer automated Work Information Management Systems (WIMS) such as: Civil Engineer Material Acquisition System (CEMAS); Civil Engineer Integrated WIMS (CEIWIMS); and Environmental Management Information System (EMIS). Knowledge of warehouse practices; inventory and stock control procedures; document processing; industrial, material handling equipment, shipping, packing, and receiving.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE FOR APPLICANTS WITH NO PREVIOUS FEDERAL EMPLOYEMENT: Non-Federal employment applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-08 grade level. Specialized experience must include knowledge of Air Force Civil Engineer and Base Supply programs, policies, and regulations. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures. Knowledge of Civil Engineer and Base Supply computer automated Work Information Management Systems (WIMS) such as: Civil Engineer Material Acquisition System (CEMAS); Civil Engineer Integrated WIMS (CEIWIMS); and Environmental Management Information System (EMIS). Knowledge of warehouse practices; inventory and stock control procedures; document processing; industrial, material handling equipment, shipping, packing, and receiving.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS FOR CURRENT/PREVIOUS FEDERAL APPLICANTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of Air Force Civil Engineer and Base Supply programs, policies, and regulations.
2. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
3. Knowledge of Civil Engineer and Base Supply computer automated Work Information Management Systems (WIMS) such as: Civil Engineer Material Acquisition System (CEMAS); Civil Engineer Integrated WIMS (CE!WIMS); and Environmental Management Information System (EMIS).
4. Knowledge of warehouse practices; inventory and stock control procedures; document processing; industrial, material handling equipment, shipping, packing, and receiving.
5. Ability to plan. organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization.
6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
