Duties
You will install, repair, replace, modify, load, and test new and existing electrical lines, circuits, systems, fixtures, panels, switches, breakers, and controls.
You will troubleshoot problem areas and inspect for defective equipment and faulty wiring. Work from building plans, blueprints and wiring diagrams.
You will use and maintain various types of hand and/or power tools, such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire cutters, soldering irons, cable pullers, hydraulic benders, and pipe threading machines
You will utilize safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- Position requires the ability to discern colors, contrast, and depth.
- Work conditions require the employee to drive a government motor vehicle. The employee is required to possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a government driver’s license at all times for this position.
- Emergency overtime may be required.
- Must be able to safely and properly wear all personal protective equipment including respiratory protection respirator) required of the trade/shop.
- The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
- A pre-employment physical is required.
- This is a mission essential position.
