Duties

You will install, repair, replace, modify, load, and test new and existing electrical lines, circuits, systems, fixtures, panels, switches, breakers, and controls located in and near installation buildings and structures. You will troubleshoot problem areas and inspects for defective equipment and faulty wiring. You will use and maintain various types of hand and/or power tools. You will conduct tests and performs visual inspections on Ordinance Grounding Systems. You will safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • The normal tour of duty for this position is day shift.
  • Position requires the ability to discern colors, contrast, and depth.
  • Emergency overtime may be required.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: the ability to to perform common tasks under general supervision including using and maintaining hand tools, troubleshooting and tracing hard-to-locate defects or problems, and operation of an elevating work platform.
