About the Position: Provides any necessary technical or hands on guidance for the Global Combat Support Systems-Army (GCSS-Army), as well as the repair of a wide variety of power generation equipment, light and heavy wheeled vehicles, and ground support and electronic equipment.
Duties
Plans use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials
Investigates work related problems such as excessive costs or low productivity
Determines training needs
Participates in planning work schedules budget requests, and staffing needs

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability To Lead or Supervise. Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic Supervisor, WS-5803-10. This includes the ability to do the following: Perform the procedures and processes, test procedures, troubleshooting, and inspection requirements for Standard Army Maintenance System Enhanced (SAMS1E), power generation equipment, light and heavy wheeled vehicles, ground support and electronic equipment. I have assigned and prioritized work in order to meet established guidelines of the trade of a heavy mobile equipment mechanic supervisor. I have experience interpreting work orders, technical data, electronic schematics, and other specifications to assure compliance with work requirements and documentation of same

Works in tiring or uncomfortable positions for long periods to include frequent bending, reaching, stretching, climbing, and crouching. Works on the top of and under vehicles in cramped or awkward positions. Frequently lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. Lifts and moves heavier items with the assistance of other workers and with lifting devices such as jacks, hoists, and cranes.
Works both inside and outside. Frequently exposed to drafts, changing temperatures, and noises; exposed to irritation or discomfort from duct, heat, fumes, and from hard, damp floors; exposed to the possibility of cuts, burns, bruises, and strains; receives burns and skin irritations from acid, fluids, and lubricants.
