Duties

-Responsible for adhering to all policy, guidelines and requests for the safe and efficient operation of all equipment necessary to carry out the control of the movement of water and associated generation and transmission of power at the Grand Coulee and Hungry Horse Hydroelectric Projects. -Responsible for ensuring that the Project meets electrical system (load and voltage) demands, and river flow and irrigation requirements. -Performs and/or directs the operation of water, pumping and generation equipment for which Grand Coulee Power Office is responsible. The water and electrical power complexes are comprised of four power houses, one pump generating plant, five switchyards, three storage reservoirs, 3 dams, and a canal/irrigation system.

Your application materials must demonstrate sufficient experience and training to perform the duties of a Powerplant Dispatcher without more than normal supervision. Qualifications will be determined on the basis of information submitted within your resume and responses to the assessment questions. You must meet at least 2 points on the screen-out element(s) and obtain an average of at least 2 points on all of the job elements in order to be considered qualified for this position.
