This position is part of the WAPA-UGP-Upper Great Plains. As a Project Manager (Transmission Tariff Coordinator), you will be responsible for leading and managing projects in Western Area Power Administration's (WAPA's) Upper Great Plains Region (UGPR) Power Systems Operations Office using standard project management tools, techniques, and practices.
**This is not a remote position. The selectee will be required to be physically present at one of the duty location(s) identified.**

For the GS-12 level, you must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service with the following:
Three of the following five skills: interpersonal communication, technical writing, data manipulation and analysis, cooperative teamwork, and ability to read and interpret technical documents such as interconnection study reports, facility study reports, business practices and contracts.
Coordinating electric utility procedures and activities with multiple internal functional programs as well as external entities.
Knowledge of project management principles and practices.
For the GS-13 level, you must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service with the following:
Three of the following five skills: interpersonal communication, technical writing, data manipulation and analysis, cooperative teamwork, and the ability to read and interpret technical documents such as interconnection study reports, facility study reports, business practices and contracts.
Coordinating Open Access Transmission Tariff (Tariff) procedures and activities with other functional program areas such as Operations, System Planning, Contracts, Maintenance, Rates, Finance and/or Environmental programs as well as external entities in an electric utility industry setting.
Using project management principles to lead projects from inception to completion.

Time-in-Grade: Current career or career-conditional GS employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional GS employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b). Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to current career or career-conditional federal employees applying for a Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.
