Duties

Provide transportation guidance to the Headquarters and its Direct Reporting Units located in both the Continental United States and overseas locations. Plan, coordinate and execute the United States Army Medical Logistics Command, Second Destination Transportation (SDT) program. Provide advice, assistance, and guidance concerning inadequacies or inaccuracies in shipping requests and related documentation. Manage and collaborate all reports required by Department of the Army (DA), Army Materiel Command (AMC), and other DoD agencies. Responsible for reconciling and certifying bills related to transportation actions.

Requirements

  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain eligibility at the Secret level using a Tier 3 background investigation.
  • 25% business travel.
  • One-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position has been designated as "Key" and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization as doing so would seriously impair the capability of the organization to function effectively.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
