Duties
As a Supervisory Health Scientist you will:
Serve as the Chief for the Clinical, Economics, and Health Services Research Branch (CEHSRB).
Plan, direct, evaluate, and coordinate the activities of the Branch.
Determine the broad direction of clinical, economic, mathematical modeling, and health services research activities of the Division.
Provide expert advice and guidance to the Division and Center Director.
Provide expert national and international leadership in innovative health services research, mathematical modeling, economics, and clinical management across the entire spectrum of Sexually Transmitted Disease Prevention.
Create and manage a world class research and evaluation unit.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree: major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. This degree must be from an educational program from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify at the GS-15 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level, which must include the following experience: planning, developing, directing, conducting, evaluating, coordinating, and modeling the activities of programs directed toward the improvement and prevention of public health activities.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Copy of your transcripts or equivalent documentation is required for positions with an education requirement, or if you are qualifying based on education or a combination of education and experience. An official transcript will be required if you are selected.
