About the Position: Serve as an Architect (Historic) and engages in planning and/ or designing substantial new construction, renovation and improvement projects for a variety of real property facilities.

Duties

Serve as the installation POC for the Cultural Resources Management Program (CRMP). Ensure the legal, regulatory, professional and scientific adequacy of projects meet the CRMP goals and planning needs as defined. As a Architect (Historic) at the full performance level, you will be responsible for the following: Analyze renovations and improvements needed to meet new mission and environmental requirements. Plan and/or monitor large scale facilities projects to ensure compliance with applicable objectives, standards and requirements. Monitor and/or manage substantial new construction, renovation and improvement projects utilizing a professional knowledge of architecture. Evaluate and recommend development plans for construction, renovation and improvements of real property facilities. Serve as technical representative for negotiation and administration of contracts. Evaluate programs and development plans for construction, renovation and improvements of real property facilities.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Temporary duty travel (5% or less) away from the normal duty station may be required.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a valid state issued Driver's License.
  • Overtime may be required to meet work requirements on an emergency basis.
  • Must have the ability to discern colors, contrast, and depth.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
