You will serve as an ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN in the Ship to Shore Connector Project Office-115 of SUPSHIP GULF COAST.
Duties
You will manage and coordinate all aspects of Engineering, Planning, Quality Assurance, Progress and Testing of all electronic systems on Ship to Shore Connector (SSC) craft.
You will develop the design engineering plan/program for assigned commodities, maintenance programs, and specifications.
You will determine the technical requirements for the installation, integration, modification, repair, maintenance and testing of the assigned electronic and electrical systems work under SUPSHIP Gulf Coast cognizance.
You will determine the type and amount of assistance required for operational problems requiring outside assistance and negotiate with the appropriate government activities to acquire that assistance.
You will coordinate post-repair and alteration certification of electrical and electronic systems.
You will independently plan approaches, evaluate test results, and write technical reports on progress, evaluations, analysis, and conclusions.
You will head and attend meetings and conferences and hold personal and telephone conversations as a technical management representative of Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion and Repair (SUPSHIP) Gulf Coast.
You will serve as testing leader on a continuing basis for technical assistance teams composed of engineers and technicians working under SUPSHIP Gulf Coast cognizance.

- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
To Qualify for the GS-12:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: evaluating the electronic or electrical system technical requirements to ensure the successful installation or repair of a command and control, communication, or navigation system.
To Qualify for the GS-11:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing methods and procedures to test or troubleshoot the electronic or electrical systems for a shipbuilding or repair project.
