You will serve as a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (CONSTRUCTION) in the FACILITIES MANAGEMENT DIVISION of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.

Duties

You will advise management on aspects of production operations (e.g., job status, production problems). You will develop preliminary cost estimates for obligation purposes. You will prepare progress reports to determine and expedite production schedules You will use automated databases to develop, review, and manage work package documents.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

For the GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Coordinating special projects, specific work, engineering scopes and contracts from initial customer request to final billing; 2) Working independent in planning, coordination of job scheduling, materials, and funding; 3) Providing technical recommendations/solutions to complex problems; 4) Managing, organizing, and tracking work inducted into automated management systems; and 5) Working with clients to clarify scope of work, financial obligations, and desired completion dates. NOTE: Experience must be demonstrated in resume to be considered for position.
