Duties
Serve as a Budget Analyst in the Institutional Budget Branch, Budget Division, Resource Management Directorate, White Sands Missile Range Test Center.
Program budget estimates through analysis of items such as plans, goals and objectives for individual programs for the organization.
Exercise fund control by participating in the forecasting process for the organization.
Review financial reports to assess the performance of resources.
Requirements
- This position is designated as moderate risk involving Public Trust. Appointment to this position is subject to a background investigation including a credit check to determine suitability for Federal employment and/or the position.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Formulate an organization's budget by utilizing applicable financial regulations; 2) Analyze budget requests in order to execute the budget within requirements; AND 3) Provide financial advisory recommendations in accordance with budget regulations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11/NH-02).
