About the Position: Serve as Supervisory Budget Analyst, Responsible for the formulation, justification, presentation, execution, and review of the Mission budget for the U.S. Army White Sands Missile Range.

Duties

Responsible for programming, budgeting, controlling, and administering the use of appropriated funds, to include authorizing the use of such funds. Emphasize and explain budget limitations, program requirements, and directives; define areas of responsibility for the staff. Direct attention to actual or potential funding problems and recommends policy for solving them. Provide budgetary and technical leadership for the development of cost estimates associated with long-range multi-year studies. Analyze program and budget guidance and instructions from higher headquarters to determine impact on garrison operations. Provide guidance, direction, and control to all organizational elements and subordinate echelons on all phases of budget formulation. Receive, distribute, and administer all funds issued to the Commander, to include annual funding program, allotments, allowances obligation authorities, reimbursable, and other fund instruments. Prepare and present budgetary briefings. Supervise a group of employees engaged in garrison budget development and execution functions.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 is used to assist agencies and employees to avoid conflicts between duties and financial interest.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
