The Volpe National Transportation Systems Center seeks an IT Director (Cybersecurity) for the Office of Information Technology (OIT). You will direct, manage, and oversee all Volpe Center IT and IM resources (human, financial and technology) and acts under the executive direction of the Volpe Center SES Director and supports the Director for Research and innovative Technology in planning out new IT capability, training and credentialling required by Volpe mission work.

Qualifications
To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience qualifications.
To qualify for the Grade 15, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equal or equivalent to the GS-14, it must include:
Experience representing, leading or managing a workforce to achieve mission goals such as developing IT infrastructure management plans and systems architecture to ensure that they are secure, robust, scalable and highly available to meet program objectives.
Experience advising an organization’s management, leadership team and stakeholders concerning cybersecurity and privacy oversight, risk management, IT program accomplishments, problems, and the impact of actual or potential changes.
Experience in interpreting policy and guidance related to information system security management and cybersecurity threat assessments to successfully implement frameworks for governing information technology systems and programs.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

Problem Solving: Identifying problems; determining accuracy and relevance of information; using sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives and making recommendations based on technical requirements.
