Volpe seeks a senior level technical expert for all facets of cybersecurity within the surface transportation network, including critical vehicle and infrastructure system projects for a technical division. This position will also serve as a project lead on assigned projects supporting sponsor performing work such as IT Security, cybersecurity mission related work and research related to technical project work.

Qualifications
To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience qualifications.To qualify for the Grade 13, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-12, it must include:
Experience in interpreting policy and guidance related to information system security management and cybersecurity threat assessments to successfully implement policies, standards, guidelines, and frameworks for governing technology, data, and communication with respect to cybersecurity.
Experience in assessing cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities within an organization’s systems to help identify and mitigate threats, assess incidents, and help analyze and facilitate business processes for gaps and opportunities for improvement.
In addition to meeting the above described specialized experience requirements, your IT experience will be evaluated and be expected to include described experience in the following competencies:
