You will serve as a DEPUTY REGIONAL RANGE DIRECTOR-EAST in the N9 of NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE CTR CORONADO.
Duties
You will direct management and sustainment actions to ensure land, near-shore, air and riverine training areas support pipeline training requirements for Sea, Air, and Land operators and Special Warfare Combatant-Craft Crewmen.
You will coordinate staff efforts and lead meetings in order to develop plans, policies, personnel requirements, and courses of action and to provide tasking.
You will ensure adequate safety and other required communications capabilities fully support range users.
You will develop detailed budgets to support effective and efficient range complex operations including both Base Operations Support (BOS) and Range Operations Support (ROS) requirements.
You will develop and publish local policies for assigned range complexes to ensure awareness of how to safely operate each range.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Range Safety Officer and Range Officer in Charge designation IAW COMNAVSPECWARCOMINST 3591.1 Series.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Responsible for spearheading policy development, administration, management, maintenance and/or improvement of ranges and training facilities; Familiar with using Range Facility Management Scheduling System.
