You will serve as an Electronic Industrial Controls Mechanic Leader in the Public Works Business Line, Utilities and Energy Management (UEM) Product Line of NAVFAC NORTHWEST.

Duties

You will perform operational maintenance, inspections, minor repairs, troubleshooting, and overhaul. You will maintain operational log and compute data. You will track plant efficiency. You will analyze operating conditions.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • You will be required to obtain (within a year of employment) and maintain a valid fourth-class operator license using the National Association of Power Engineers criteria or its equivalent.
  • You may be required to be certified as a Virginia Visible Emissions Evaluator if testing provided.
  • This position may be designated as Essential personnel and required to report for duty or held in duty status to provide support before, during and/or after emergency situations, such as but not limited to: destructive weather or disasters.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You must be able to be CPR certified.

Qualifications
