This position is located in the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Office for Victims of Crime (OVC).

Qualifications

Specialized Experience: Applicants must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level. Specialized experience is experience which is in or related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Examples of specialized experience include: Providing strategic direction and oversight to a wide range of programs and initiatives that support crime victims, ensuring they receive comprehensive and effective assistance. Overseeing the development and implementation of national policies and programs that directly impact state, local, and tribal agencies, as well as nonprofit organizations dedicated to victim services. Monitoring significant developments in crime victim policy and programs to assess their potential impact to an agency. Preparing speeches, remarks, and other talking points for senior leadership on crime victim policy topics for presentation to various stakeholders and the media.
