This position is located in Fraud Detection and National Security Directorate, FDNS National Benefit Center. As an Program Analyst, you will coordinate, analyze, and evaluate programs, provide expert advice to managers, and identify best practices to improve program efficiency.

Duties

The responsibilities described are for the full performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope performed with less independence, and limited complexity. Analyze and propose development of procedures, guidelines, and objectives to support NBC initiatives concerning benefits and immigration information management. Provide analysis and recommendations on fraud trend analyses, efficiencies, effectiveness, productivity, and data quality reviews. Analyze information and processes regarding immigration information management. Provide technical assistance and support to resolving technical issues with pending and/or completed applications to headquarters and field staff.

The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 10/02/2024. Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 10/02/2024. THE VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT SHOWS THE LOCATION TO BE LEE'S SUMMIT; HOWEVER, THE NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER HAS TWO SITES, LEE'S SUMMIT, MO AND OVERLAND PARK, KS. THE DETERMINATION AS TO WHAT LOCATION THE POSITION IS ASSIGNED TO HAS NOT BEEN MADE AT THIS TIME. GS-11: You qualify at the GS-11 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-09 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties: Assisting with planning, organizing and directing team and task force efforts across organizational lines. Assisting in the coordination and development of solutions through identified capabilities and process changes, to address deficiencies found across the enterprise through enterprise wide studies. Collaborating with technical teams and translating business data requirements GS-12: You qualify at the GS-12 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties: Assisting with identifying, analyzing, and coordinating the resolution of data quality issues within information technology systems. Assisting with developing analysis methodologies, and extracting relevant data from large datasets. Collaborating with team members in the identification of root causes of known or potential issues. Collaborating within cross-functional teams to improve effectiveness and efficiency of operations by solutioning and resolving data discrepancies.
