About the Position: This Budget Analyst is located at US Army Test and Evaluation Command, White Sands Test Center, with duty location of White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico.
White Sands Missile Range is DoD's largest, fully-instrumented, open air range, provides America's Armed Forces, allies, partners, and defense technology innovators with the world's premiere research, development, test, evaluation (RDT&E), experimentation, and training facilities to ensure our nation's defense readiness.
Duties
Implement organization budgetary program, policies and procedures.
Review rate of expenditures of budgeted funds
Certify funds for analysis and reconciliation.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires you to travel from the duty station up to 10% travel away from duty station required.
- FM Certification Level 2 is a condition of employment. Must obtain certification within the required time.
- One probationary period may be required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. General Experience: Three years progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least the NH-01/GS-04 pay band/grade level, which includes: 1) Formulating and executing on organizations budget; AND 2) Reviewing and analyzing budget requests, and 3) Providing financial advisory recommendations in accordance with budget policies and regulations. This definition of general experience is typical of work performed at the next lower pay band/grade level position in the federal service (NH-01/GS-04).

Education: Four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120. Add the two percentages
