You will serve as a Supply Technician in the Reserve Component Command (RCC) Norfolk's various Navy Operational Support Centers (NOSCs) at Supply Department (N4). of NRC NORFOLK.
Duties
You will perform daily supply inventory functions to include: requisitioning, receipt and issuance of material, storage, transfer, tracking, disposal, and maintaining documentation.
You will work with Accountable Property, General Equipment Officer in conducting reconciliation for physical verification of assets.
You will conduct annual physical inventory and location audits of material in the supply storage system.
You will serve as a government purchase cardholder (CH).
You will process documentation for stock item receipts, maintain such items in a supply room and issue material to staff personnel and inspectors.
You will review data to determine economic quantities, timeliness, availability, or adequate storage and overall support effectiveness.
You will use appropriate hardware/software suite for inventory, logistics, and financial management as well as research cataloging information.
You will utilize available Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) cataloging data to determine values and characteristics of the material ordered.
Requirements

- Employee must qualify for and maintain all requirements necessary to perform purchasing actions as
applicable to current instructions regarding DoD civilian employees.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- Drill weekend work is required; this position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
Qualifications
For GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following in your resume:
Experience in maintaining and organizing pertinent publications, directives, and filing systems related to supply department functions and procurement.
Experience coordinating with command departments to create budget submissions and ensure compliance with Financial Improvement and Audit Remediation (FIAR) standards.
Experience in preparing and executing procurement actions for supplies and services, including managing Government-wide Commercial Purchase Card (GCPC) transactions.
Experience applying knowledge of material accountability processes and logistical regulations to effectively manage inventory and procurement operations.
