You will serve as a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN in the U.S. FLEET OF INSPECTION AND SURVEY (INSURV) DIVISION of PRESINSURV NORVA.

Duties

You will perform daily supply inventory functions to include: requisitioning, receipt and issuance of material, storage, transfer, tracking, disposal, and maintaining documentation. You will work with Accountable Property, General Equipment Officer in conducting reconciliation for physical verification of assets. You will conduct annual physical inventory and location audits of material in the supply storage system. You will serve as a government purchase cardholder (CH). You will process documentation for stock item receipts, maintain such items in a supply room and issue material to staff personnel and inspectors. You will review data to determine economic quantities, timeliness, availability, or adequate storage and overall support effectiveness. You will use appropriate hardware/software suite for inventory, logistics, and financial management as well as research cataloging information. You will utilizes available Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) cataloging data to determine values and characteristics of the material ordered.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current forklift/heavy equipment certification.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying knowledge of material accountability processes, conducting extensive and exhaustive research for required information and reconstructing records of complex transactions. Experience applying knowledge of NAVSUP/INSURV logistical regulations and manuals governing supply policy and procedures, federal supply classification, to include item identification and specifications. Experience applying knowledge of a wide range of well-established and commonly applied supply principles, concepts, and methodologies in the technical supply specializations of inventory, storing, distributing and cataloging. Experience using Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint; and the ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Experience applying the knowledge of policies regarding the use of the Government Purchase Card program.
