You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Comptroller Office of MARINE CORPS AIR FACILITY QUANTICO.

Duties

You will prepare budget programs, exercise surveillance over fund utilization relative to budget execution and authorizes funds distribution. You will review and analyze accounting reports to ensure funds are available to carry out approved programs. You will develop and prepares financial statistical data for review and analysis and provides detailed narrative explanation of any deviation from established goals. You will manage the annual year-end closeout of Operation and Maintenance funding. You will perform trend analysis utilizing performance metrics and business process reengineering for effective and efficient use of resources. You will serve as the Reviewing Official for Defense Travel System (DTS) for all travel authorizations and vouchers within the MCAF Command hierarchy.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing most formulating budget estimates to support plans, programs, and activities, implementing budgetary controls, reviewing and evaluating budget requests, AND analyzing and recommending costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of programs and administrative operations. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

OR

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree

OR
