Duties

You will perform technical support work necessary to ensure the effective operation of ongoing supply activities. You will prepare property survey requests, conducts research on requested items checking for accuracy and validity. You will determine when to requisition and the quantities required based on directed input from customers and usage patterns and trends. You will be appointed by letter as a Contracting Officer (cardholder) to use the Government Commercial Purchase Card (GCPC). You will be personally accountable for all purchases, based on customer request and inventory requirements, and must comply with strict adherence to Department of the Navy Purchase Card regulations.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting with supply support operations to improve procedures for a supply program. In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

You may qualify for this position using education to substitute for specialized experience if you have successfully completed four years of education above high school level.
OR
You have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
