Duties
As an Electronic Industrial Controls Mechanic Leader, you will:
Provide knowledge and technical guidance in performing technical and mechanical tasks on electronic industrial controls at the NIH Central Utility Plant.
Use comprehensive knowledge of shop and trade techniques to solve problems related to testing environment, interference from frequency generating equipment, location and density of circuitry, and other troubleshooting difficulties.
Maintain advanced precision measurement equipment, instruments, and instrumentation systems such as in-situ oxygen analyzers, vibration monitors and combustion gas analyzers.
Lead the performance of operational testing functions on existing systems and equipment.
Develop changes to schematics, drawings, and maintenance procedures for use by lower-grade employees.
Coordinate efforts with technical and professional personnel on changes to equipment and operating specifications.

Qualifications
You will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most positions performing trades, crafts and labor work, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position.
