You will serve as a Power and Propulsion Element (PPE) Integration Manager within the PPE Office, Space Flights Systems Directorate at Glenn Research Center. You will perform project level PPE integration and management with the Agency's Human Space Exploration Gateway Concept and Co-Manifested Vehicle (CMV) activities. This position involves managing technical disciplines across multiple interfaces with internal and external stakeholders.

Duties

Lead Power and Propulsion Element (PPE) integration efforts for Co-Manifested Vehicle (CMV) and Gateway (GW) initiatives. Serve as an Integration Manager coordinating programmatic aspects of engineering integration activities with diverse teams. Build collaborative relationships across organizational boundaries. Coordinate technical content, cost, and schedule of products, deliverables, and services for aerospace engineering projects. Formulate agreements/plans to support project activities. Serve as a single point of contact to engage with the GW/CMV Integration Manager on behalf of the PPE Project Manager and Deputy Project Manager. Facilitate effective communication, connecting the project and technical integration functions. Perform project integration and management efforts for insight of prime contractor in development of the integration of the PPE to the Habitation and Logistics Outpost (HALO), CMV testing, and launch vehicle integration. Serve as the project management point of contact for the PPE Certification of Flight Readiness requirements and product development, with an emphasis on overall CMV Certification of Flight Readiness. Manage the scope required to integrate the HALO and PPE modules into the CMV architecture and launch vehicle. Manage the PPE scope associated with the integration with the GW program from integrated analyses to initial flight of the CMV. Provide PPE programmatic representation to support multi-disciplinary teams with engineering design, development, and delivery of complex flight components that establish foundational architectures fundamental to the performance of CMV capabilities. Provide representation at various control boards, ensuring project efforts are aligned with CMV/GW needs. Participate in proactive strategic planning to identify and resolve potential challenges before they pose an issue. Qualifications

In addition to the Basic Education Requirement (in the Education section below), to qualify for this position you must meet the requirements below. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. NASA utilizes OPM-approved qualification and rating requirements specific for Aerospace Technology (AST) positions which recognizes NASA's unique aerospace work. The specific qualifications and minimum education requirements are further described below and within the education section of the job announcement. To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level: Managing or coordinating aerospace engineering projects involving integrated flight systems or sub-systems that span the full project lifecycle; Providing technical leadership for project teams, coordinating the development, implementation, or integration of aerospace flight hardware/software, such as spacecraft, instruments, technologies, or systems for space-based applications; Negotiating or collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve mission objectives related to lunar or spacecraft payloads. Education

Basic Education Requirement: You must have successfully completed a bachelor's degree with a major in one of the following:
a) Engineering from a college or university that has ABET accredited engineering programs
b) Physical Science, Mathematics, Life Science or other field of Science
c) Computer Science that included 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours of course work in any combination of mathematics, statistics and computer science with at least half of those hours in mathematics and statistics courses that included differential and integral calculus; and that provided an in-depth knowledge of theoretical and practical applications of computer science, including digital computer system architecture and system software organization, the representation and transformation of information structures, and the theoretical models for such representations and transformations.

If you did not complete a qualifying bachelor's degree, you may be eligible if you have obtained a graduate degree in an AST qualifying field, as listed above.

Degrees in engineering technology are not considered qualifying for this position.
