About the Position: This is a Public Affairs Specialist, GS-1035-12 position for the US Army Engineers Tulsa District, Public Affairs Office located in Tulsa, OK.

Duties

Explain U.S. Army Corps of Engineers policies, plans, and activities to the general public, command personnel, other DoD organizations, Members of Congress, and the Military Services. Produce digital broadcast products, video specials and weekly news features. Establishes policies and processes for efficient broadcast video production. Staff material with subject matter experts to ensure factual accuracy, identifies controversial or sensitive issues and screens information to preclude compromise of material covered by FOIA, Privacy Act, or security regulations. Disseminates radio and television spots, public service announcements, news stories and other streaming video products for distribution to a wide audience on the internet.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Communications and MediaManages and Organizes InformationTechnology Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
