About the Position: This position is located with U.S. Army Sustainment Command, 407th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center at Fort Cavazos, TX.

Duties

Performs a wide range of systematized supply operations, such as receipt, storage, transfer, issue, replenishment, disposal, and adjustment of a wide variety of supplies. Prepares requests for cataloging action to effect additions, deletions and changes. Conducts research regarding warehouse denials which require the use of various logistics information systems and other automated systems. Maintain physical receipt, storage, issue, moving and flow of supplies including weapons and armaments Drive trucks and operates forklifts, side loaders, swing masts, hand operated pallet jacks, and other lifting devices capable of hauling loads over 1 ton but less than 6 tons.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position is covered by the 1996 Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control act of 1968. Persons convicted of a Misdemeanor or Felony Crime of Domestic Violence is not eligible for the position.
  • Incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R, and/or DA Form 7412 “Condition of Employment for certain Civilian Positions identified as critical under the Drug Abuse Testing Program,” or a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
  • This position is designated as Drug Testing Required. A pre-employment drug test and subsequent random drug testing is required.
  • A pre-employment physical is required.
  • Required to obtain and maintain a valid state driver’s license and any installation and or DoD License required for the type of vehicle being drive including the operation of a government passenger vehicle.
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain forklift training certification and license.
  • Per mission requirements, may be required to work irregular work hours after normal duty hours, Weekends, Holidays, Evenings and Nights as scheduled.

(Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120.
