This is a full-time position with the Marshal's Office - Police Protective Intelligence Unit (PIU) at the Supreme Court of the United States in Washington, D.C. Duties

The Protective Intelligence Analyst serves as a subject matter expert for law enforcement intelligence collection and analysis in the Supreme Court Police Protective Intelligence Unit (PIU) applying the full range of intelligence knowledge, skills, and abilities to provide insights and assessments focused on threats impacting the Supreme Court of the United States. Major duties for this position include, but are not limited to: - Gather and analyze data from various sources including open source, Federal, State, and local law enforcement agencies, the Intelligence Community, foreign governments, financial institutions, and technology companies. - Possess a thorough understanding of the intelligence cycle and apply it to diverse and novel protective projects and assignments. - Provide analytical support to protective investigations including initial identification of threats, background research, subject identification, etc. - Assess risk in a variety of contexts through research and logical structured analysis. - Write professional intelligence reports which detail steps taken, data sources reviewed, and supportable conclusions drawn. - Develop standing and project-specific intelligence requirements and identify relevant sources of information to inform those requirements. - Develop analytical guidelines, practices, and templates tailored to the protective needs and capabilities of the Supreme Court Police. - Provide mentoring, training, and peer review to junior analysts. - Communicate effectively, orally and in writing, to officials at all levels of the Police Department, the Supreme Court, and partner organizations.

Qualifications

For the SCP 13 grade, you must have at least 1 year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS/GG/SCP 12 grade level in Federal service which is directly related to the position, and which has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the full range of duties of the position. For employment at the SCP 12 grade, you must have a minimum of 5 years of general intelligence analysis experience supporting law enforcement or other intelligence missions. For employment at the SCP 11 grade, you must have a minimum of 3 years of general intelligence analysis experience supporting law enforcement or other intelligence missions. You must be eligible to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.

Education

A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution may substitute for up to 2 years of general analysis experience.
You must have successfully completed a Federal government intelligence analysis training program, or an equivalent local government or private sector program.
