This National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN), Position Description Number D1581000 and is part of the CYBER INFORMATION, National Guard.
This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants.
This position is located in the Chief Information Office.
Duties
As a Supervisory IT Specialist (PLCYPLN), GS-2210-13, you will serve as the chief of an information management division/branch. The organization provides support for the assigned portion of the command, control, communications and computers (C4) program.
Requirements

- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.

Qualifications
Military Grades: Officer Only
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, and/or training that has provided a basic knowledge of data processing functions and general management principles that enabled the applicant to understand the stages required to automate a work process. Experience may have been gained in work such as computer operator or assistant, computer sales representative, program analyst, or other positions that required the use or adaptation of computer programs and systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Must have experience providing authoritative advice, information and guidance regarding current and future information systems concepts, doctrine, practices, operations and technologies. Must have experience coordinating, presenting, and negotiating programs, projects, policies and controversial issues of significant impact on supported applications. Must have experience providing direction and supervision over work performed in subordinate units at the GS-12 level which best characterizes the nature of the basic, mission oriented, non-supervisory work performed in the organization and which constitutes 25 percent or more of the workload. Must have experience managing a organization located in one of the information management organizations in the state, which provides system administration, database administration, software application development and customer support for a wide variety of standardized information management applications used throughout the state.
