The ideal candidate for this position will have knowledge in Dam and Levee Safety Programs related to risk and consequence assessments and failure mode analysis which includes relevant practices in the fields of civil engineering, hydrology and hydraulics.

To qualify for this position at the GS-13 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following: Working as a civil engineer in applying regulations, guidance, and engineering analysis associated with mitigation of hazards, AND Conducting and working with others on a variety of hydrologic, hydraulic reviews, studies, and designs related to dam and levee infrastructure in Water Resources.
