About the Position: This Engineering Technician is located at U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Center, Warfighter Directorate with duty location of Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. (merit)
Duties
Serves as a test director within the Soldier Systems Division for the United States Army Aberdeen Test Center wherein the assigned mission is to conduct test/assessment of Army soldier systems equipment.
Conduct developmental test projects requiring modification of areas such as standard techniques, methods and criteria, and conventional test procedures.
Interact during the test process with personnel located at the United States Army Aberdeen Proving Ground.
Review preliminary drafts of user requirement statements to ensure quality.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- Temporary Duty (TDY) 30%.
- This position requires a pre-employment Physical and Annual Physical thereafter.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Conduct inspections of Personal Protective Equipment, such as body armor to ensure reliability; AND 2) Prepare reports on assigned projects which summarize results; AND 3) Ensure equipment, facilities and safety procedures are adequate to fulfill testing criteria. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower level/grade position in the federal service (NJ-03/GS-11).
