You will serve as an AIRCRAFT EXAMINER in the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Production Department of FLTREADCEN EAST.
Duties
You will examine system diagrams, technical directives, drawings, or manufacturer data to verify aircraft repairs are made in accordance with standards and specifications.
You will complete inspections and quality assurance reviews on repaired aircraft systems or components to verify operational working condition.
You will analyze aircraft malfunctions to determine methods of repair.
You will Use measuring devices and hand tools to record measurements taken during aircraft overhaul.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Examine, evaluate, and analyze the condition of aircraft, aircraft engines, and their components and accessories to determine the depth of overhaul required for the particular aircraft and engines, including as a paramount requirement, sufficient skill in and knowledge of the trades and labor work performed as it pertains to Aircraft Mechanic, Sheet Metal Mechanic, Composite/Plastic Fabricator, Aircraft Electrician and Electronics Mechanic trades. 2) Determine general condition, prescribes extent of disassembly, and specifies any departures to be made from standard overhaul process. 3) Performs minor trade work to facilitate inspections & evaluations. Complies with all required processes and instructions for proper documentation of aviation maintenance, removals, FOD free and prior-to-closure inspections, and all other quality and safety requirements as applicable.
