You will serve as a Financial Technician in the MCB Quantico of MARINE CORPS BASE QUANTICO.

Duties

You will perform technical work in support of the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit and custody of cash items which includes handling cash items or use of cash accountability control methods. You will examine documents for accuracy, adequacy of documentation, compliance with regulations for goods and services provided to or by the Government, reimbursements for medical and domiciliary care, education, travel and transportation. You will follow procedures and regulations required to examine invoices, voucher, and related documents is required. You will determine pay, payroll records maintenance and completion of reports pertaining to civilian employees of the Federal Government. You will perform technician work in support of budget analysis and administration such as maintain ledgers, budget formulation, compiling, consolidating, checking and arranging funding data.

• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• This is a Financial Management Level 1 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: utilizing knowledge of accounting systems, policies, procedure, and techniques in support of accounting, managing budget, determining pay, payroll records maintenance and other related financial management work.
