About the Position: Serves as Executive Officer, Congressional Liaison, and Protocol Officer for the District. As a key member of the Executive Office Staff, this position manages high-level strategic engagements that are crucial to the District's overall success.

Duties

Act as a primary liaison for legislative, intergovernmental, and interagency matters that are important to all parties involved. Primary POC for all congressional correspondence and coordination of responses to congressional inquiries. Lead the coordination, planning, preparation, and execution of bi-annual Congressional visits. Manage and oversee high-level engagements and visits involving distinguished guests. Stay informed about the District's programs and challenges to ensure alignment of strategic communication across both internal and external channels. Serve as the first line supervisor over a small team of Executive Office staff. Execute timely progress checks, keeping the Executive Office informed of current issues, upcoming concerns, and prioritized tasks or reports. Lead meetings and small teams to strengthen and maintain important relationships. Demonstrate initiative in completing tasks and solving problems independently, while collaborating diplomatically with others.
