Duties

The Human Resources Coordinator position at the Supreme Court of the United States is a critical role that supports the Human Resources Office and all employees of the Supreme Court. The position provides advice and transactional support to Supreme Court employees. Duties include processing confidential information; drafting documents and correspondence; presenting information; planning; coordinating and assisting with implementation of HR events. Major responsibilities and duties for this position include but are not limited to the following: - Presents at, coordinates, and supports on-boarding/off-boarding employees. - Coordinates and supports HR events and programs. - Provides advice regarding benefits, pay, leave, and wellness programs at the Supreme Court. - Supports accurate and timely processing of personnel actions such as benefits, compensation, payroll, and timekeeping. - Performs front-office duties, including receiving and responding to employees, visitors, phone calls, and emails. - Responds to managers and staff questions on Supreme Court policies and procedures, including benefits, wellness, compensation, leave, and timekeeping. - Handles sensitive information and assists with eOPF management. - Updates and maintains databases.

Qualifications

Specialized Human Resources experience is defined as progressively responsible experience in at least one but preferably two or more functional areas of Human Resources administration (e.g., benefits, retirement, payroll, timekeeping, staffing) that provided knowledge of the rules, regulations, and terminology of the area of Human Resources administration. To qualify for the SCP-9, the applicant must meet the educational requirement or have two years of specialized Human Resources experience. To qualify for the SCP-11, the applicant must have at least three years of Human Resources specialized experience, with at least one year of specialized work experience equivalent to working at the SCP-9 grade level in the Human Resources field. To qualify for the SCP-12, the applicant must have at least four years of Human Resources specialized experience with at least one year of experience equivalent to working at the SCP-11 grade level in Human Resources.

Education

A Bachelor's degree or at least two years of specialized Human Resources experience.
