About the Position: Serves as Administrative Support Assistant in the Command Group of an SDDC Brigade, to the Commander, Deputy to the Commander, and Command Sergeant Major. Performs a variety of clerical, administrative and analytical support functions.
Duties
Obtain and present information and prepare a variety of recurring and special reports.
Research, assemble and summarize a wide variety of material pertaining to the office functions.
Monitor organization actions in responding to and complying with reporting requirements.
Receive incoming correspondence addressed to the office; determine which should be brought to the supervisors’ attention or handled personally and established suspense controls.
Maintain logs and suspense records on incoming correspondence and follow up to ensure timely action.
Receive office visitors and telephone calls determining the identity of the caller and general purpose of the call.
Compile statistics and supporting analyses for use in the decision-making process.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
- Incumbent may be required to serve a two-year trial/probationary period.
- Incumbent may be required to travel up to 5%.
- Incumbent must be a qualified typist.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing administrative support such as preparing official correspondence, making travel arrangements, managing organizational schedules, utilizing office automation systems and maintaining office files. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as a degree in business or organizational management.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
