About the Position: The primary functions of this position are to plan, develop, coordinate, and direct operations of the Installation Drug Testing Collection Point (IDCP).

Duties

Coordinates, monitors, and maintains the installation's urinalysis program, to include the testing of all military personnel, reservists, National Guard, and civilian personnel as identified in AR 600-85. Administers the Civilian Drug Testing Program for testing civilian employees identified as Test Designated Positions (TDP) . Oversees data input of urinalysis testing for the drug testing automated data systems. Enforces established internal and external quality control procedures to ensure that each test result can withstand review by legal forensics. Participates in the development of a training course for UPL's to ensure adherence to all regulations, policies, and standard uniform procedures, at the unit level during the collection process.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be certified by the Department of Army Drug Testing Certification Course within 9 months of assuming duties.
  • The position requires business travel 5% of the time.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: ClericalEducation and TrainingPlanning and EvaluatingStandards Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
